  • vray 1.46.15 doesn`t want to output G-buffers ?

    Hi,
    I`ve done this:
    - enabled the built in frame buffer;
    - have checked output channels: real RGB, reflection;
    - have selected expotential color map (1,1);
    - unchecked clamping there;

    = all my G-buffers are black except for standard RGB.

    What have I done wrong?

    I know that this feature usually works, when I start a new MAX scene from scratch and do some test it`s working perfectly.
    Only when the real job comes it lets me down .

    Thanks for you help.

    I`ve just checked it :
    I have reset all, created a completely new file, added two simple boxes, then applied a simple VRmaterial with reflection to it, and - everything was fine - I could see the reflections channel as well as RealRGB !
    So I`ve saved these rendering settings (using Vray preset manager) and applied these settings to my job file - it was the same again !
    Everything black in G-Buffer layers !

    So problem is in the file?
    Can somebody help?

    Here`s the scene I am working on:

    PS second thing : in this scene I always get the message: "scene boundary is to big, possible raycasting errors". What the heck is this? Is there a limit of how huge your site should be? I`m doing urban-scale analysis +architecture, so my file`s over 250m x 250m !!! (I`m working in centimeters)

      It's just a warning... VRay will render anyway.

      As for the gbuffer stuff, we'll be looking into it.

      Best regards,

      I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

        Vlado, have you found any solution to this yet?
        I don`t see this bug listed on the new 1.47 release bugfix list.

        I have finished that job without g-buffers assistance, but for the future I would like to have such an option.

        Thx.
